From Route 100, situated about half-way from Warren and Waitsfield. Turn onto Sugarbush Access Road, go to top of hill and park at the Base Lodge (probably the most beautiful base lodge in the U.S.!) Go to pro/ski shop in Lodge, this is a pay to play course: $2/person and they will have maps and scorecards. Half of the course is up hill, and it is more difficult than some, but well worth it!
Other Amenities include: Restaurants, Pub, Restrooms, Shopping, Hiking, Biking, Hotels, etc.

On August 28th, 2011 the State of Vermont and parts of New Hampshire was ravaged by Hurricane Irene. Thousands have lost everything and are displaced or unable to leave their homes. Over 200 bridges have been destroyed and 5 historic covered bridges in Vermont are gone. Whole towns are stranded and others are unreachable by main roads. Electricity is said to be out for weeks in some parts of the state of Vermont. Railroad beds are destroyed and in places the tracks are hovering over thin air where there once was land. The cost of the damage to the infrastructure of Vermont is astronomical, and most of the folks who lost their homes did not have flood insurance.

NEWS Walter Frederick (Fred) Morrison, known for his invention of the Frisbee died on Feb. 9, 2010 at the age of 90 in his home in Monroe, Utah. In 2002, Fred with Phil Kennedy, an original Pluto Platter player, Frisbee historian and disc collector began their 4 year project culminating in the 436 page book Flat Flip Flies Straight- True Origins of the Frisbee Fred said in astonishment about the success of the Frisbee, "It's amaaaaazing. I've been the luckiest guy in the world." He mentioned, " a good throw takes practice, you need a good firm grip and a quick release." But, "the darn things can be unpredictable." |
