	NEWS Walter Frederick (Fred) Morrison, known for his invention of the Frisbee died on Feb. 9, 2010 at the age of 90 in his home in Monroe, Utah. In 2002, Fred with Phil Kennedy, an original Pluto Platter player, Frisbee historian and disc collector began their 4 year project culminating in the 436 page book Flat Flip Flies Straight- True Origins of the Frisbee Fred said in astonishment about the success of the Frisbee, "It's amaaaaazing. I've been the luckiest guy in the world." He mentioned, " a good throw takes practice, you need a good firm grip and a quick release." But, "the darn things can be unpredictable."
