On August 28th, Hurricane Irene destroyed many bridges, villages, homes and towns in Vermont and the Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire. Discsandmore.com pledged to donate 75% of their Amazon.com profits from the month of September and was able to donate $75 for flood relief, thank you for your support!!
We decided to split the donation between two different businesses where communities were affected, the first being Twice Blessed of Wilmington, Vermont. This town was hit hard by the Hurricane and many businesses and homes in the village were destroyed. Twice Blessed helped many families with donations, furniture and clothing.
The second business that needed extra help was the Vermont Food Bank, which lost 10 of their Food Banks statewide and were already financially strapped due to the economy. Based out of Barre, Vermont they help feed thousands and helped hundreds more due to the flooding from Hurricane Irene.
